The America We Live In As Christians

The days they are a changing. Those who have passed a few decades ago would not recognize the place or people who live here. It has a little to do with the smart phones, computers and tattooed women you’ll find roaming the streets. It has some to do with our bastard children wolfing down genetically modified crap while having the latest lies of Satan passed off to them as the gospel by our tax dollars. But it goes beyond that. Beyond the clerk, the florist, the pizza maker and the baker who refused because they were Christians. It goes beyond the being spoken evil of, paying fines and maybe doing some jail time We now live in a country were you are not just persecuted for your faith, but martyred.

Oh how we have needed this day! Does my response shock you? It’s sad, heartbreaking and I feel for the families of those who have lost. But this was what was needed to break what was once luke warmness and has become just coldness of faith of people in our country.

We can no longer sit back and rely on the faith of our great grandparents but must make our faith our own or discard it. Just as Oregon’s shooter asked, “Are you a Christian?” The Savior of the World has been asking for sometime, “Who do you say I am?”

Our answer to that question will not only change the course of our lives, but our marriages, families, churches and ultimately our nation. Do we deny Him? Do we continue to live our faith in sloth, gluttony and selfishness. Or do we take up the arms in the battle that has always waged around us each day of our life but we had it too easy to truly dedicate ourselves to?

As a husbands, fathers and men it is our job to first hit our knees and repent, seek His forgiveness and will and then to be men who no longer stand idle but speak the truth, stand for the truth and live the truth.

It is time to toss out the heretic leadership in our churches, call out their false teaching, serve our fellow man, give until it hurts to our wives, children and neighbors, pray and if necessary die for our faith.

There were generations of men who were willing to do that many generations ago and we have been living off their fumes for awhile now and the tank if finally on E. Much like Israel in the Old Testament after too many good years and folks turned their back on God and hard times were needed to bring about repentance and a renewed faith. We’ve been paying the price for our lack of perseverance and faith already but now the true time of testing and deciding is upon us. The fight is at our doorstep and there is no longer time to sit in slumber. It is time to become mighty warriors of the King.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and [b]we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but [c]we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:1-6
